October 19th Meeting – Caramel Apples

Here’s what happened at our last meeting:

  • Debi delivered a great devotional and our opening prayer
  • Breakfast was provided by Group 1. It was an “Autumn Breakfast” theme – cider, oatmeal, pumpkin dump cake, french toast and so much more! Yum-o!
  • Our Preschool MOPPETS came by to “trick-or-treat” – each mom handed out an item. There were halloween pencils, small notepads, pumpkin straws, puzzle pieces for a coloring page, and apple slices and graham cracker sticks for their snack. The kids were showing off their Lion masks that they made too.
  • Some of us chatted while small groups took turns in the kitchen making caramel apples. So many toppings to choose from!
  • We started talking about Operation Christmas Child. We will be putting together 10 boxes at our next meeting. A sign up sheet was passed around for anyone wanting to donate items for the boxes. If you missed the meeting, no worries, everything will be put online so you can still sign up. Watch your e-mail for the sign up link. Need some ideas? Follow this link for 101 Shoebox Ideas.
